Ouch

I went to my weekly archery lesson on a couple days ago, and there, I discovered something that might change my life forever: NEVER under ANY circumstances hold your bow crooked--when you shoot the arrow, the string will smack your arm (the sensitive part) at roughly 70 mph (for me, a weak little girl who can only pull 6 lbs). I now have a welt the size of a funsize Milky Way (TM) bar on the underside of my left forearm. Not to mention that my right arm muscles hurt from having to hold the bow still.
